This document is a copy of the Declaration of Independence. Producedin 1818 by Benjamin Owen Tyler of Washington, D.C., Tyler was the first engraver to publish a handwritten reproduction of the Declaration, complete with handwritten signatures. He dedicated the engraving to Jefferson and sent him a copy on parchment, which Jefferson kept at Monticello.
