Description

This document describes the response of the people of Farmington, Connecticut to the closing of Boston’s port as a result of the Coercive Acts. More than 1000 people gathered around a liberty pole where a copy of the hated measure was hanged in effigy and then burnt. Parliament’s actions were condemned as unjust, illegal, and oppressive.
