Description

This document was issued by the First Continental Congress. In response to Parliament’s passage of the Coercive Acts, 12 of the 13 colonies sent delegates to a meeting in Philadelphia to plan a strategy of united resistance against Britain. One of their most important actions was to call on colonists to stop exporting goods to England in addition importing goods from England.
